Jennifer A. Benson, County Attorney
Since joining the Webster County Attorney’s Office in July 2011, Ms. Benson has served as an Assistant County Attorney and most recently as the First Assistant County Attorney. Ms. Benson was appointed First Assistant County Attorney in June 2014 and served in that capacity until being sworn in as County Attorney after winning the position in the November 2014 general election. Ms. Benson received her law degree from Drake University Law School in 2005, and her bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Iowa in 2002. Ms. Benson served as a judicial clerk for the Second Judicial District from 2005 to 2006. Ms. Benson served as the Humboldt County Attorney from January 2007 to July 2011. Ms. Benson has been a member of the Drug Policy Advisory Council since 2010 when she was appointed by Governor Culver. Ms. Benson also served on the Domestic/Sexual Assault Outreach Center’s Executive Board and Board of Directors as Vice President.
Ryan D. Baldridge, First Assistant
Ryan Baldridge joined the Webster County Attorney’s Office in August 2013 as an Assistant County Attorney. In November 2014 Mr. Baldridge was appointed First Assistant County Attorney. Mr. Baldridge received his law degree from Creighton University in 2012, and bachelor’s degrees in Paralegal Studies and Administration of Justice from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale in 2007. Mr. Baldridge worked in private practice before joining the Webster County Attorney’s Office. Mr. Baldridge currently serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Youth Shelter Care of North Central Iowa in Fort Dodge, Iowa and as the Vice-Chairperson of the Iowa County Attorney’s Association Case Management Project.
Brad McIntyre , Assistant
Brad McIntyre joined the Webster County Attorney’s Office in December 2014. Mr. McIntyre received his law degree from Drake University Law School in 2013. He received his bachelor’s degrees in journalism and political science from Drake University in 2010. Mr. McIntyre worked in private practice before joining the Webster County Attorney’s Office and is a native of Fort Dodge.
Hans Becker, Assistant
Hans Becker joined the Webster County Attorney’s Office in January 2015. Mr. Becker received his law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2014. He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Clarke University in 2011. During law school, Mr. Becker interned at the Dubuque County Attorney’s office.
