The Community Services office serves as the gatekeeper to a countywide system of services and supports by taking applications, making eligibility decisions, evaluating the needs of individuals, and working to create and implement a mental health and substance abuse service-funding plan. An integral part of the County’s central point of coordination process, the Community Services office provides access to MH/DD services for persons living in, or having legal settlement in, Webster County, Iowa.

Central Point of Coordination - MH/DD Services

The Central Point of Coordination (CPC) is designated as the "single entry point" for persons with disabilities seeking funding from Webster County's MH/MR/DD Services Fund. The Community Services Director serves as the CPC Administrator. Webster County's Mental Health/Developmental Policies seek to provide individualized supports that assure choice, empowerment, and community integration for persons with mental illness, mental retardation, or other developmental disabilities, while effectively managing costs.

The CPC process includes determining eligibility, assisting with referrals to service providers, monitoring services, tracking all service costs, and establishing a quality assurance program.

  • The individual must be a legal resident of Webster County or have legal settlement in Webster County.
  • The individual must have a diagnosis of mental illness, mental retardation or developmental disability.
