Kennedy Park — located 5 miles north of Fort Dodge on Nelson Ave.  1415 Nelson Ave.
WaNoKi — located about 1 mile east of Coalville.  Take 235th St. to WaNoKi Road  2401 WaNoKi Road
Skillet Creek Indian Mounds — located 5 miles SE of Dayton.  Take Hwy 175 to River Rd. to Skillet Creek Ave.
Brushy Creek SRA — located 4 miles east of Lehigh / 4 miles south of Duncombe 
Dolliver Park — located 3 miles NW of Lehigh

  • Middle school age youth may enroll in an opportunity to work on the land removing unwanted trees, improving campsites and trails
  • Participants will also have the opportunity to hike, paddle, fish, bow target shoot, build a shelter and a fire, etc
  • $10.00 per day to cover snacks and drinks and light lunch

      John F. Kennedy Memorial Park
  • Open year round, 6:30 am - 10:30 pm
  • Campground / Cabins open April 15th; close October 15th
  • Heun shelter is open for reservation March 1st - November 30th (Dec, Jan & Feb just on week days)
  • Heun shelter is open to the public on weekends in Dec, Jan & Feb for warming house

Camp WaNoKi

  • Area is available for hiking all year round, 6:30 am - 10:30 pm
  • Entrance trail head will be marked closed for special events
  • Lodge, Cabin and Campsites open April 1st; close November 30th
 
     

 

Veterans Memorial Park

  • Park open 6:30 am - 10:30 pm
  • Open Shelter and Amphitheater open April 1st - Veteran's Day
  • Secondary park gates close November 11th - Walk-in only
