Absentee ballots for the General Election to be held November 8th are now available in the Auditor's Office. In office voting will begin Thursday September 29, 2016 at 8:00a.m. Requests can be made in person at the Auditor's Office, 701 Central Avenue; Fort Dodge, IA 50501, or by mail. Requests may be on the prescribed form which can be downloaded from the county’s Web site at Absentee Voting or the secretary of state’s Web site at www.sos.state.ia.us. Requests not on the prescribed form must include the following required information: Name, address of voter, address to mail the ballot to if different, election name or date, date of birth, and signature of voter requesting the absentee ballot.
The Webster County Auditor's Office will be open on Saturday, October 29th from 8:00a.m. until 5:00p.m. for the purpose of registering voters for the November 8th General Election. This is the last day to pre-register to vote for the November 8th General Election. Absentee voting will also be available in the Auditor's Office on this date.
The Webster County Auditor's Office will be open on Saturday, November 5th from 8:00a.m. until 5:00p.m. for the purpose of voting an absentee ballot in the November 8th General Election.
Requests for absentee ballots to be mailed to a voter must be received by 5:00p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016.
Absentee ballots for the General Election can be cast at the Auditor's Office, Webster County Courthouse, 701 Central Avenue, Fort Dodge, Iowa, through 4:30p.m. November 7th. Absentee ballots being returned by mail must be postmarked by midnight, November 7th.
On Election Day, the polls will be open from 7:00a.m. until 9:00p.m. Attached is a list of the polling locations in Webster County.
