Regular Meeting

April 10, 2001

 

The Board of Supervisor met in Session on the above date with the following members present: O’Farrell, Magnusson, Condon, Peterson and Chairperson Kirkberg. Absent none.

 

Moved by Magnusson, seconded by O’Farrell to approve minutes of meeting April 3, 2001. Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by O’Farrell, seconded by Peterson to receive and place on file the following Drainage Repairs:  D.D.# 3 and D.D.#129.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Peterson, seconded by Condon to approve and authorize Chair to sign Third Quarter Well Water Grant Report and Request for Payment. (Copy on file in Auditor’s office).  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Condon, seconded by Magnusson to table approval of Webster County Courthouse Security Plan until Safety Committee has reviewed said plan.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Magnusson, seconded by O’Farrell to receive and place on file Report of Veteran Affairs Commission, period ending March 31, 2001.  (Copy on file in Auditor’s office).  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by O’Farrell, seconded by Peterson to approve bond for Dayton Farm Drainage for septic tank installation.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Peterson, seconded by Condon to adopt the following resolution and to approve and authorize Chair to sign 28E Agreement with Iowa State Association of Counties and with other Counties to form a separate legal entity known as County Rate Information System to provide state-wide rate setting methodology.  (Copy of 28E Agreement on file in Auditor’s Office).

 

RESOLUTION

 

            WHEREAS, Participant Counties desire to cooperate, one with another, for the purpose of establishing a state-wide rate setting methodology; and

 

            WHEREAS, each County is a public agency within the meaning of Iowa Code Chapter 28E (2001) and the Iowa State Association of Counties (“ISAC”) is a private agency within the meaning of Iowa Code Chapter 28E (2001):

 

            THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF WEBSTER COUNTY that this County does hereby enter into the County Rate Information System 28E Agreement with the Iowa State Association of Counties and with other Counties, to form a separate legal entity known as County Rate Information System, to provide a state-wide rate setting methodology, and the Chairperson of the Board of Supervisors is hereby empowered and directed to execute the County Rate Information System 28E Agreement on behalf of this County.

Ulicki to slope back slope in  northeast corner of the Northeast quarter of Section 11, Elkhorn Township (T88, R29W).  (Copy on file in Engineer’s Office).  Motion carried unanimously.

1)      Gowrie Township, Section 13, 370th Street between Fairbanks Avenue and
