Regular Meeting

The Board of Supervisor met in Session on the above date with the following members present:Magnusson, Peterson, Condon, Gill, and Nolting.††

 

Movedby Magnusson, seconded by Condon to approve minutes of May 27, 2003 meeting.Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Condon, seconded by Gill to receive and place on file the following Drainage Repairs:D.D.#69, D.D.#89, Joint D.D.#4 & 272, and D.D.#1.Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Gill, seconded by Nolting to approve department appropriation change as follows:Decrease Department 051 (Courthouse) $5,000.00, Decrease Department 054 (Other Bldgs.) $4,500.00, increase Department 008 (LEC) $2,000.00 and increase Department 055 (Social Services Bldg.) $7,500.00.Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Nolting, seconded by Magnusson to approve bond of Dayton Farm Drainage, Inc. for installation of septic tanks.Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Magnusson, seconded by Condon to approve and authorize Chair to sign 28E Agreement with Department of Natural Resources to issue private well permits in Webster County, Iowa. (Copy on file in Auditorís Office).Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Condon, seconded by Gill to table approval of Webster County Board of Health Regulation No. 2 Public Health Nuisances, as adopted by Webster County Public Health Board.Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Gill, seconded by Nolting to approve and authorize Chair to sign agreement with Maximus for fiscal years 2003 and 2004 cost allocation plan.(Copy on file in Auditorís office).Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Nolting, seconded by Magnusson to receive and place on file Manure Management Plans for M & S Pork and CJS Pork.(Copies on file in Auditorís office).Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Magnusson, seconded by Condon to approve and authorize Chair to sign utility permit application from MidAmerican Energy Company to extend overhead electrical lines across 150th Street and along the east side of Adams Avenue approximately 1370 feet in Section 30, Jackson Township.(Copy on file in Engineerís office).Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Condon, seconded by Gill to approve bid submitted by Christenson Bros. in the amount of $29,568.00, and authorize Chair to sign contract documents for Riverside Trail Repair in Section 17, Otho Township.Motion carried unanimously.

 

Donna Dornath discussed a land acquisition by Town of Otho, requesting a formal review of the process within 30 days.The County Attorney advised her that she should seek a private attorney regarding the matter.

 

Moved by Gill, seconded by Nolting to allow Claims.Motion carried unanimously.
