Regular Meeting

May 10, 2005

 

The Board of Supervisor met in Session on the above date with the following members present: Magnusson, Condon, Gill, Nolting and Lizer.

 

Moved by Nolting, seconded by Gill to approve minutes of May 3, 2005. Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Gill, seconded by Lizer to approve and authorize Chair to sign Agreement with City of Fort Dodge abating taxes on a nuisance property.

 

AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN

THE CITY OF FORT DODGE, IOWA

AND

WEBSTER COUNTY, IOWA

 

RE:1108 11th Avenue SW

 

The City of Fort Dodge, Iowa and Webster County, Iowa agree as follows:

 

The City agrees to:

 

1.        Take title to the above-referenced property by quitclaim deed from the owner of record at no cost;

2.        Demolish the existing structures and provide clean-up of the property;

3.        Abate all special assessments against the property;

4.        If the property is disposed of, split the proceeds of such sale with the County.

 

The County Agrees to:

 

1.        Abate all taxes, costs and interest against the property.

 

Should the owner not provide a quitclaim deed to the City at no cost, this agreement is null and void.

Moved by Condon, seconded by Nolting to receive and place on file Manure Management Plan Updates for Gordon Farms, Inc. Sections 18 and 23 Freedom Township, Hamilton County, adjourning Webster County.(Copy on file in Auditorís office).Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Nolting, seconded by Gill to receive and place on file Manure Management Plan Updates for Litchfield Realty Company in Section 33, Hardin Township, Section 35, Burnside Township, and Sections 27, 31, 33 and 35 Yell Township.(Copy on file in Auditorís office).Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Gill, seconded Lizer to approve and authorize chair to sign utility permit application from Frontier Communications to bury approximately 7992 feet of telephone cable along the north side of 200th Street in Sections 20 and 21, Douglas Township.(Copy on file in Engineerís office).Motion carried unanimously.

 

Moved by Lizer, seconded by Condon to approve and authorize Chair to sign utility permit application from Frontier Communications to bury approximately 1505 feet of telephone cable along the south side of Parker Drive in Section 26, Douglas Township.(Copy on file in Engineerís office).Motion carried unanimously.
