Board of Supervisiors Meeting

The Board of Supervisors will meet in Session on the above date with the following members present:  Dencklau, Singer, Peterson, Condon and Fletcher.   Absent:  None.

Moved by Singer, seconded by Peterson to approve minutes of the May 10, 2011 regular meeting.  Motion carried unanimously.

Moved by Peterson, seconded by Condon to receive and place on file Drainage Repairs in D.D.#170.  Motion carried unanimously,

Moved by Condon, seconded by Fletcher to approve Beer Permit application and Liquor License application for Webster County Agricultural Association.  (Copies on file in Auditor’s office). Motion carried unanimously.

Moved by Fletcher, seconded by Singer to receive and place on file Manure Management Plan Updates for Gordon Farms, Inc, in Section 23, and, in Section 18, both in Freedom Township, Hamilton County.  (Copies on file in Auditor’s office). Motion carried unanimously.

Moved by Singer, seconded by Peterson to receive and place on file Manure Management Plan Update for G & R Farms, LLC, in Section 31, Elkhorn Township.  (Copies on file in Auditor’s office). Motion carried unanimously.

Moved by Condon, seconded by Fletcher to approve and authorize transfer of funds from Rural Service Basic Fund (0011) to Secondary Road Fund (0020) in the amount of $721,565.00 per fiscal year 2011 budget.  Motion carried unanimously.

Moved by Fletcher, seconded by Singer to approve and authorize Chair to sign the Addendum to Contract for Library Service for Webster County as follows:

ADDENDUM TO CONTRACT FOR LIBRARY SERVICES FOR WEBSTER COUNTY FY 2011/2012

In exchange for complying with items stated in the Contract for Library Services for Webster County, Webster County will pay the named libraries according to the formula approved by the Webster County Library Association April 9, 1992.

Summary of bids received for painted pavement markings were as follows:

KAM Line Highway Markings     $121,310.22
Vogel Traffic Services, Inc $134,683.26

Moved by Singer, seconded by Peterson to approve and authorize Chair to sign contract with KAM Line Highway Markings, LLC for painted pavement markings in the amount of $121,310.22.  Motion carried unanimously.

Moved by Peterson, seconded by Condon to approve employment of Luke Hubbell as Class C Equipment Operator in Secondary Road Department at the rate of $16.04 per hour, effective May 26, 2011.  Motion carried unanimously.

Public Hearing was held on first Consideration of an amendment  to Zoning Ordinance 046 to rezone property from A-2 to ME in the Southwest Quarter of Section 10, Township 89 North, Range 29 West of the 5th P.M., Webster County, Iowa; and Future Land Use Map in the Comprehensive Plan. No written or oral objections were heard; therefore Chairman Dencklau closed the hearing.

Moved by Singer, seconded by Condon to approve first consideration of an amendment  to Zoning Ordinance 046 and Future Land Use Map in the Comprehensive Plan to rezone property from A-2 to ME in the Southwest Quarter of Section 10, Township 89 North, Range 29 West of the 5th P.M., Webster County, Iowa; further to waive second consideration and set May 31, 2011 at 10:00a.m. as the time and date for final consideration of said amendment.  Roll call vote:  Ayes – Dencklau, Singer, Peterson, Condon and Fletcher.  Nays – none.  Motion carried unanimously.

Moved by Fletcher, seconded by Singer to adjourn the meeting.  Motion carried unanimously.
